The Community Service League (CSL) is a non-profit organization celebrating 32 years of fundraising for those in our community 'most in need'. Since its inception in 1976, we have raised over $1,100,000 for the two agencies we support primarily through our spring Kitchen Tour and our winter Holiday Auction fundraisers.

CSL is  staffed solely by a volunteer core of dedicated women committed to directly impacting the quality of life for those in our community who are in need. Most of our members have children, are active in their schools and churches and many have full or part time jobs. The two agencies that we fundraise for are:

THE MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION

The Mental Health Association of San Mateo (MHA) is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals in our community with mental illness, co-occurring disorders, HIV, and AIDS. MHA works to end homelessness, connect people with appropriate and adequate resources, encourage independence, and provide support to many of the most vulnerable individuals in our community. One of the long-time activties CSL supports is the Friendship Center Program, which provides social and recretional opportunties. MHA has been serving the community for more than 60 years.

YOUTH AND FAMILY ENRICHMENT SERVICES

The Youth and Family Enrichment Services (YFES) Suicide Prevention and Crisis Intervention Center seeks to provide immediate aid to people in their time of greatest need.  They offer San Mateo County's only 24-hour suicide crisis hotline, a 24-hour alcohol and drug help line and intervention services in local schools.
